ServicePro was founded in 2012 by Nikos Vlachakis, a third-generation electrician from Pagkrati, and Markos Theodoridis, a master plumber from Kallithea, after the two met repairing the same Athens apartment block in the winter of 2011. The owner had paid four different tradesmen across three weeks and the problem — water damage from a hidden cable splice — was still there. Nikos and Markos solved it together in ninety minutes. They walked out, stood on the pavement on Plateia Plastira, and decided that single-trade call-outs were broken: the customer always paid for the gap between disciplines.
